They even love to spend their holidays in the Alpine region: “Sometimes I also like to travel a little farther, yet I always want to be active,” explains Gerd, himself a native of South Tyrol. Asked about the name of the HOTEL OF THE MOUNTAINS in Meransen at the heart of the Ski & Almen Region Gitschberg Jochtal, Gerd immediately knows the answer: “The Lärchenhof was named after a magnificent tree in our woods close-by: the larch, or in German Lärche, was known as an ancient and prominent landmark throughout Meransen.”
